Freak the Mighty strikes again

Q.What would you do if your father was Killer Kane and he took you to the burned down building? How would you react?

A.I would find the right time to untie myself and run and I would react by just looking disgusted by everything there.

A.The steps are made of thick wood, but slick and punky soft where water has been dripping and they sag under weight.

A.I think it was Freak waiting for Killer Kane to come back so he can strike.

Q.How did Loretta finally get the ropes off Max? How did Kenny and Max react?How would you react?

A.Loretta got the ropes off with a sharp edge of the boiler cutting 3 times. Kenny reacted with anger and he started to choke her. Max reacted with trying to get his dad off Loretta and remembering the day his dad killed his mother. I would just start punching like crazy at Kenny and screaming in his ear.

A.sulfuric acid; soap, vinegar, and curry powder; I think Max did believe him.

Safe from the killer

I chose this picture Becuase in the end of chapter 20 freak comes in with a water gun full of "acid" and sprays Kenny Kane with it.

In the chapter 19 and 20 Max and Kenny go to a burned down building to hide until Iggy gets them a car.they went down to the basement to be safe. Just so Max won't yell and scream Kenny put a piece of Max shirt in max's mouth. Kenny then goes up from the basement to discuss buisness with Iggy and Loretta comes down hoping to save Max. When she finally frees him Kenny comes down and sees. He starts chocking her and she is slowly dying. Max starts pushing at him and is yelling and saying "I see you daddy please please stop your killing her" and "I saw you kill mom I never forget not ever". After Max is saying that Kenny gets mad and starts choking Max. Soon Kevin comes into the room and says he has a gun full of "sulfuric acid" and threatens to shoot it. Kenny does not believer him so Kevin shoots it right in Kennys eyes. Then they ran up the stairs and see cops everywhere and Kevin then says "it worked he fell for it soap vineger and curry powder" which is what the liquid in the water gun was made of.

"They're like bugs...They're not too smart, but there's lots of them and they keep at it."

I chose this quote because it gives a big difference to the book's characters and real life because police officers are actually really smart and that's how they keep us safe.

Chapter 19 Pg 123

"You should feel right at home...Cooped up like you were in that cellar hole."

I chose this quote because it is semi-true that Grim and Gram do keep him down in the cellar but at least they didn't kill his mother or literally kept him tied up.

I chose an image of handcuffs because Kenny Kane got arrested for kidnapping and choking Max and for choking Loretta Lee.

In "Freak the Mighty" by Rodman Philbrick, I can relate to Max. I can relate to Max because his dad got arrested and my dad has gotten arrested before too. I can also relate to Freak because when I was younger, I got a squirt gun and filled it with water and soap to see if it would squirt bubbles. This connects to Freak because he added bubbles in his squirt gun. I can relate to Loretta and Iggy because my grandpa and great grandma have a cellar with old wet stairs in Idaho. I can also relate to Freak the Mighty because they fell onto the snow. When it snowed a lot one year, my brother pushed me into the snow and it made me stumble into the cold white flakes. Also I can relate to Loretta because I have tries to help someone but got hurt doing so. Once because I helped my sister cut an apple and I cut myself and another time helping my dad flip tortillas and oil splattered all over my face. Those are some connections I made while reading chapters 19 through 20 in "Freak the Mighty".
