I chose a picture of a fireworks display because when Freak and Max go to see the fireworks they encounter Tony D aka Blade and his gang. They then show their compatability and teamwork for real and for the first time.

Q. Why do Grim and Gram not let Max go alone to the 4th of July until Freak went?
A. They don't want him to get into any trouble.
Q. Why does Tony D call Max and Freak "Hey you! Mutt and Jeff! Frankenstein and Igor!"?
A. He might be referring to Max being tall and Freak being short.
Q. Why doesn't Freak get "flipped out" when Max picks him up and places him on his shoulders?
A. Freak is used to being helped by people and Max is his friend.
Q. Why would people advise others to avoid Blade than stand up to him?
A. Rumor has it that he once almost killed a guy with a razor or because you have to face his gang as we'll.
Q. Why does Blade and his gang run when the officer arrives?
A. They don't wan't to be caught by him.
Q. Why do you think that the policeman brings up Max's dad, Kenny "Killer" Kane?
A. He might be amazed that the son of a murderer would "save" a crippled kid like Freak.
Q. Why might Freak like being "Freak the Mighty, slaying dragons and fools and walking high above the world"?
A. He enjoys being taller than others and not being crippled.
